Light the World: 50th Anniversary Celebration (Remastered) | Part 1: The Story Begins

Some celebrations are simply too good to happen only once. In October 2025, thousands of _A Course in Miracles_ students around the world gathered for a joyful day of remembrance, inspiration, and gratitude to celebrate the Course’s 50th anniversary in our online event, Light The World. The story of _A Course in Miracles_ unfolded through a series of inspired steps from the first printing and the founding of the Foundation for Inner Peace in 1975 to the publication of the first hardcover edition in June 1976. As this remarkable anniversary continues, we’re delighted to invite you back for a newly remastered presentation of Light the World, thoughtfully enhanced for a richer viewing experience. The original event has been lovingly remastered into three parts, with enhanced audio, historical photographs, and added imagery that bring the story to life in fresh ways. This is Part 1: The Story Begins. Before _A Course in Miracles_ found its way into the hands of millions, it began with two reluctant scribes, four faithful founders, and a series of remarkable decisions guided one step at a time. Through archival photographs, historical reflections, and firsthand accounts, revisit the remarkable events that helped begin a living movement that continues to touch millions around the world. Some visual imagery in this presentation was created with the assistance of AI to illustrate real stories and experiences for which original photographs were not available.
