2. Personal data we process

We may process account details, profile information, playback and reading progress, notification preferences, technical consent logs, device tokens and optional social connection data when you choose to connect external accounts.

3. Legal basis and purposes

We process data to create and manage accounts, provide the service, save progress, manage premium access, send service communications, deliver push notifications when consented, enable optional social sharing, improve the product and comply with legal obligations. Legal bases include contract performance, consent, legitimate interest and legal obligation under GDPR.

4. Service providers and international transfers

We use providers such as AWS, Cloudflare, Firebase, YouTube API, OpenAI and the Apple and Google app stores where needed to operate the service. Data is primarily hosted in the European Union. When providers process data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements.

5. Retention

Account data and progress are retained until account deletion, unless legal obligations require longer retention. Payment and audit records may be retained for the legally required period. Cookie consent is retained for up to 12 months.
