The territory is wide: lost civilisations, heterodox archaeology, the UFO phenomenon, biblical mysteries, curiosities of the past, and scientific subjects too: biology, health, nutrition, palaeontology. Its backbone is the long-form biography of figures popular culture half knows, worked up with the declared aim of going beyond the myth. Around these sit sections on the great painters, on major women in history, on myths and legends, and on the enigmas of the past. The titles show the angle: the great Velázquez fraud, the true route of the Odyssey, Mary Magdalene recast as a prostitute by papal decision, Catherine the Great beyond courtly anecdote.
