Created by Andoni Garrido, with Nacho Solanas, David Morenza and Diego Rodríguez helping on corrections and research, this channel is devoted to history for a Spanish-speaking audience: history, mythology, art, philosophy, science and curiosities explained clearly and with humour, without abandoning chronological order. Its backbone is the long series. The history of the Spanish Empire traced reign by reign, from the end of the Catholic Monarchs to Philip III, taking in Charles V, Philip II, the war in Flanders, Lepanto and the Armada. The history of China from its origins to 1912, with the Han, Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties treated separately and episodes on the Opium Wars, the Taiping Rebellion and the Boxers. Around that frame sit pieces on myths and legends ( the kraken, Moby Dick, the great sea monsters and what lies behind each of them ) and a run of history quizzes that turn the material into questions: Mesopotamia and Egypt, Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages. What a newcomer finds is a recognisable method: context before anecdote, chronology before effect, and a narration with pace that avoids solemnity without slipping into triviality. The videos work as ordered summaries of broad periods, which makes them useful both to the curious viewer and to the student who needs a map before going into detail. The channel is supported directly by its listeners, and it has built correction into its team as part of the process rather than as an afterthought.
